St Mary's Bakery is a family business established in 1890. Stewart and Jessica Beatty have run the business for the last 30 years and their son Gareth manages the bakery, thereby continuing the family tradition.
 
 
St Mary's Bakery is one of the largest independent bakers in Torbay and has won many
major trade awards, including the "Bread Baker of the Year" award.

St Mary's Bakery also has a well earned reputation for providing beautiful wedding and
celebration cakes and were recently voted the Toast of Torbay by listeners of Gemini
Radio.

The business has two retail outlets in the bay, as well as a large wholesale section
providing bread and cakes to many of the areas leading retail outlets and organisations as
diverse as garden centres, golf clubs, sports clubs, schools, cafes, pubs, restaurants and
tea rooms.
